Bright Bodies

Bright Bodies is an ongoing illustration project that explores the relationship between the physical beauty of the human form and its positioning as both an object of desire and instrument of suffering. Often taking the form of a pinup, these bodies interact with their environments in ways that highlight our culture's hyperfixation on self-curation amid a world that can be as toxic as it is nourishing. Many of these illustrations include components of the natural balanced against elements that suggest danger or loneliness, with influences from mystical and arcane imagery.
